Summer Youth Running Program
Without Limits Charleston is excited to announce our Summer Youth Running Program from May 9th- July 29th, 2023. Led by our certified coaches, this 12-week training program will include TWO 5k races, the Race the Landing 5k on May 25th and the finale of the program at the IOP Beach Run 5k on July 29th. The program is open to kids/teens 7-18 years old.
The program will include entry into the two races (including the race t-shirt or other gear), weekly practices (two per week), a Without Limits racing singlet, and more.
An informational kick-off meeting will be held at Fleet Feet Mt. Pleasant on Tuesday, May 2nd at 5pm. Additionally, Fleet Feet Mt. Pleasant will offer a "Gear-Up" weekend on May 12th and 13th when athletes will receive a discount on running shoes.
Practices will last 90 minutes and will be held Tuesdays (5pm), Thursdays (5pm), and will have a specific meeting location each week (see schedule below).
The Youth Program will follow the schedule below. Please note the break for July 4th week.
Week 1: (5/9 & 5/11): Mt. Pleasant Waterfront Park
Week 2: (5/16 & 5/18): Mt. Pleasant Waterfront Park
Week 3: (5/23 & 5/25): Hampton Park (5/23) & RACE DAY Race the Landing 5k at Charlestowne Landing (5/25)
Week 4: (5/30 & 6/1): Hampton Park
Week 5: (6/6 & 6/8): Mt. Pleasant Waterfront Park
Week 6: (6/13 & 6/15): Mt. Pleasant Waterfront Park
Week 7: (6/20 & 6/22): Hampton Park
Week 8: (6/27 & 6/29): Hampton Park
Week 9: (7/6 ONLY): Mt. Pleasant Waterfront Park
Week 10: (7/11 & 7/13) Mt. Pleasant Waterfront Park
Week 11: (7/18 & 7/20): Hampton Park
Week 12: (7/25, 7/27, & 7/29): Hampton Park & RACE DAY Isle of Palms Beach Run 5k (7/29)
The Early Bird price for the program is $299 until April 15th, when the price will increase to $349. For families registering two or more children, there will be a $20/child discount code provided. There are limited partial scholarships available. Please email hannah@iamwithoutlimits.com to find out how to apply or with any other questions about the program.
